About My Designs
Hello...I am Mariya Anton, the owner and designer of MgA Designs. I live in beautiful, sunny San Diego, CA.
My career as a designer started about 5 years when a dear friend introduced me and taught me how to make jewelry. Together, we attended craft shows throughout the County until one day, I discovered lampwork beads... I have always been fascinated with Murano glass and when I learned that lampwork beads were made with Italian glass, I knew I had to learn this craft.
I searched the Internet and found out that Heather Trimlett (well renowned lampworker) lived here in San Diego and I signed up for one of her weekend Beginners Lampworking Workshops. After that weekend, I knew I was hooked. There was no turning back. Unfortunately, my new found passion had to take a back seat while I finish undergraduate and graduate school.
About two years (2004) I decided that I could no longer ignore the "calling" for lampworking. After much convincing, my husband agreed to give up his garage and thus my studio was born.
My creations are simple, yet colorful. I believe in simplicity with class. Lampwork bead designs with a red carpet style. Glass creations for your pleasure and imagination.

Sterling silver when exposed to the outside elements will naturally tarnish. Sterling silver is a beautiful metal that needs care and attention to keep it looking shiny.
Here are a few tips:
- Avoid repeated exposure to water.
- Avoid any exposure to salt or chlorinated water.
- Avoid exposure to hairspray, perfumes, detergents, and household or industrial cleaning solutions.
